DUNBAR BROTHERS' STORE

DUNBAR BROTHERS' STORE

Last Spring, before the reincarnated Dunbars Store was reopened, I did a bunch of research about the store and the Dunbar family.  I shared this at the time with the new owners - Scott Holtz & Bobby Cheshire - and with Phil Dunbar.

The Sorrento-Sullivan Historical Society also did a profile in its 2018 newsletter.

Like many future posts, I originally created this as a PowerPoint and uploaded the pages below individually.  If viewing on a desktop computer hopefully you can either scroll down to read each page or click on the first page to set up the reading in a gallery mode.  If opening on your phone, however, I hope you can still view and read the pages.

I hope you enjoy -

(FYI - for any grammarians out there, when I wrote this last year I debated whether or not to make the store's name possessive.  Not sure if I'm right or wrong, especially since the last sign includes the apostrophe - anyway the new owners have christened it simply The Dunbar Store...)
